  1. Gasp! I love mimosa trees! I haven't seen one in bloom for a long time. Where are they in my neighborhood? I will have to go looking for them! Right now, in Atlanta, the Mulberry trees are full of fruit and I enjoy walking along and plucking them off and eating them. Hurray for low hanging fruit!

  2. My friend gave me the starts several years ago but only 1 of the 3 made it...of course now I have them growing around me in empty lots from the seeds...but since I too love them I don't care...Florida doesn't want them here...said they are not a native and are invasive...Well, I am not a native and there are all kinds of snowbirds that invade each winter so guess my Mimosas are here to stay...in fact we are trying to get more started...I am not sure what a Mulberry tree looks like or what the fruit taste like..I have the wild plum growing in my garden also...they get fruit but have not as of yet...the fruit is what they call sloe berry and they use to make sloe gin from ...Yum! Birds usually get them first...
